My time at NEO was a time I will truly cherish forever. My freshman year was a tough year for me, but with the help of Coach Ivy, Ed Cain, and Lauren Strack I made it through. When I came back for my second year I was so ready. My second year of college will always go down as the best year of my college career. I felt so at home finally at NEO, I had made so many new friends outside of the softball team. When Covid came around and ended our softball season it was devastating. The thing that was the most upsetting was that I thought I had lost the little time I had left at NEO. Little did I know god had other plans. After being at home for months not knowing if we would be able to come back to NEO for a third year, Coach Ivy finally called us and told us we had no choice we had to come back. My third year at NEO was interesting to say the least. We were all just trying to figure everything out with all the new Covid restrictions, but we made the most of it! When our season ended and the school year ended I was heart broken, I never wanted to leave NEO. I wished and wished it was a 4 year. The memories, the people, the place. There’s nothing else like NEO. I will always remember the late nights at the casinos, or running from dorm to dorm just hanging out with everybody. I’ll remember the practices that felt like went on forever. Most importantly I’ll remember the relationships I built with so many people there. I will never forget my time at NEO. Exit 313 Forever.
