I started attending NEO fall of 2008. I majored in general studies. I was a member of Christian student fellowship, baptist collegiate ministry, friends church, NEO marching and concert band, choir, student body government, student Nurse association, and nursing association. By year 2010 I knew I wanted to pursue nursing. I attended the nursing program from 2012-2014. I’m currently employed as a RN reviewer for a company that I love.

I graduated in 1970 then taught Zoology, A&P, cell phys, and remedial math from 1987 to 2018. There are a lot of current doctors, nurses, pharmacists and others that I had the privilege of teaching. It was a great place to work.

I graduated from high school in 1979 and never prepared for ever attending college. After going through a divorce, I started NEO at 45 years old. I never thought I could complete college, much less graduating with a 4.0, Top Graduate, in 2008! My time at NEO is one of great accomplishments, and some of my best memories! I wouldn’t trade the time, hard work, many hours in the math lab, for anything! They are memories that molded me into the confidence I now cherish.

I began teaching at NEO in July of 1978. Faculty members were: Harry Synar, Jarold Callahan, Don Johnson and Fred Jungman. The next year, I think, Fred left and went to NWSU and Roger Fent came to work. Jarold left the next year to go to OSU and Jary Douglas came back to NEO. Jarold was department head after Harry retired and he hired Roger and then Jary to replace him.

I attended NEO for 5 semesters from Fall 2001 until Spring 2003. I loved my time at NEO. After NEO I transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University. From Miami and graduated Miami High School in 1981 ('81 Wardog). Attended my first two years of college at NEO!
2 years at Oklahoma State and then in the Navy since 1984 as a submarine officer. Retiring from the Navy in Oct of 2023 after 39 years.
